Two scholarships, each in the amount of $1500.00 will be granted to two potential graduates or graduates who each exemplify a passion for studies in the subject of children’s education and who may have additionally contributed towards paid or volunteer hours in the said field.
Intention for this scholarship is to be put towards confirmed registration and application of the student’s studies in a university or college, specifically towards teaching position for children upon graduation.
The two recipients will be chosen collectively by faculty at Stouffville District Secondary School in Stouffville ON with overall academic performance as the primary factor in the selection process, including but not limited to, responses to the question below by providing a brief summary of the reason(s) behind their choice.
Some examples of course related subject requirements for consideration for this scholarship include but are not limited to:
• Early Childhood Education
• Early Childhood Studies
• Concurrent Education
• Teacher Education Stream
• Child & Youth Worker
• Education/Teaching Assistant
